He had something going on (constant pain). I wonder if it wasn't a bout of CTE. Although he broke his hip as a child and that led to a lifelong issue..
He was a tough mother, the real old school NASCAR bunch.

They are doing a good job of making them look more "real", same shit under the covers though. Chevy is really struggling this year to win so there are challenges between the aero on the manufactures.
