  • Air compressor accessory ?

So I finally got around to buying an air compressor. Got a decent little Bostitch 6 gallon/150 PSI from Amazon. I guess I went cheap on the on the accessory kit, cuz it leaks like a MoFo.
When I connect the tire inflation tool to the air hose, it just leaks constantly. It screws on, I tried to tighten it pretty tight, still leaks. Can/should I use some thread seal tape on it, or just buy a better quality one? It's so bad, I have to leave the compressor running, or it looses too much power before I can inflate the second tire.

Here's the cheapo kit I got:

    and the 25 foot hose:

Yes, put some tape on there. I do all my connections, even my quality stuff in the garage.

Thanks, I'll wrap some on it next time I need to use it, all disassembled and put away for now.

It will last for a while. The problem with the cheap shit is that it is cheap shit. The accessory kit is probably ok because it is just metal and the system is relatively low pressure. But the cheap hoses tend to go to shit very quickly and are also easy to kink. I only use Goodyear hoses, they are about $25. Same goes for garden hoses, there are some real shit hoses out there these days.

Definitely needs teflon tape. I fucking despise pvc hoses. Rubber all the way.

Haha, I'll just add the quick disconnect piece to the tire inflation piece, done!

Trash. That is one thing I will absolutely not buy from them. The quick connects leak like there is no seal. Pay a few dollars more and get Northern Tool stuff, or any other brand for that matter.

Minor leaks are a nuisance. Try to invest in a quality kit.
