Anyone ever battle doodle bugs?

Man we are getting them bad in the house.... my wife is sweeping / vacuuming up 50 or so a day from the kitchen, dining room, living room by the windows / baseboards...

Any household remedies for them? My wife has become quite educated on the the history of the species, their peculiar habits, but we need to know how to kill 'em!

Exterminator I guess, but I don't like getting involved with them.....

I don't know why, but when I read the title before I clicked, I had and image of doodle bugs in a ring fighting it out. I merely clicked just to see how that could be done. Much disappoint.

You might be on to something... I could paint tiny numbers on their backs and race them, or divide them into battalions and make them fight it out....

I am thinking of training my dog to just lick them up as he makes his rounds through the house.

Putting a drop of chicken broth on a few of them would be all it takes.

We used to pit grasshoppers together. Those things were vicious.
