I have really been wanting to go on a ride-along lately. I have never been on one, but always wanted to. I would prefer an evening or overnight shift though. Tannerm, if you don't mind, I would love to schedule a ride-along. Let me know what I need to do. Thanks!

I can really see where having a NTRST is nessasary in those towns. In the mean time teachers will be losing their jobs here shortly.

There are probably other, more accurate reasons that teachers are losing their jobs and schools are shutting down. Don't ask me what they are, but I don't think a small SWAT team in North Texas is to blame.

Most departments have their own policy. For us (FWPD), you have to sign the "It's not our fault if you die" waiver and not have any warrants.

Well if I get shot don't just leave my ass on the side of the road!

Do you have to go for the entire shift? I'd have to force myself to sleep all day if I did a midnight ride along because I would never be able to stay awake the entire time.
