I took the wife and kiddo to dinner tonight, nothing special, just a chain type BBQ joint. We had our drinks delivered and order taken promptly. We then waited 20-30 minutes for our appetizer and food for the kid. We always order his to be delivered as soon as possible so we can get him fed and content. We then sat there for at least another 30 minutes before I finally asked where my food was. In that time, I saw one gentleman have to ask for his check and to go order and another table never even get their drink order taken. We only saw our waitress 3 times. By 3 times I mean in the entire restaurant, not that she only came by our table 3 times in the hour that we waited for our food. When they finally came to tell us that they were just waiting on the fries to complete our order, and that it would be a few more minutes, we requested our food to go and that they could substitute any side they had available to complete our order. By this time, the kiddo was getting restless and we didn't want to make the other diners night worse than it already was or was going to be. They then brought our order and our check. Our appetizer was supposed to be free, which we discussed with out waitress when we placed our order. We then decided to check our containers to make sure they were correct and complete. Our food was cold and there were no sides. Now, when I say food, we ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a chopped beef sandwich, which should have come out rather quickly.
It was at this point I finally started to lose it. I approached the only employee I could find, the host. Asked for a manager, which I had to re-word so that he understood what I meant. We then proceded to wait another 5-10 minutes to speak with the manager and never saw him.

What would you do at this point?

Tldr:

Got poor service, was delivered cold and incomplete orders, atleast an hour after placing our "sandwich" order, after becoming visibly agitated and requesting our orders to go we were delivered cold incomplete meals. The request to speak with the manager was all but ignored.

Up to you, I bet you never go back though. Neither would I. You only get one chance to treat me like crap. Call corporate or slam them on Facebook if you desire. Sounds like they gave shitty service.

If it’s a chain store I’d call corporate and complain about the shitty service. This is why we won’t go to on the boarder anymore. Kinda the same problem manager was an asshole we said fuck it we just won’t go back and we haven’t for over two years. I know my family’s business won’t hurt them. But I know they won’t profit from me anymore.

Nowadays, a legitimate threat is explaining that you're taking a picture of the incomplete cold meal and you're going to bag on them on Yelp/biz Facebook/Twitter and call corporate (if a chain). I also would have sat the bag down and left without paying.

You were way more patient that I would have been. I also wouldn't have paid, and I would have left the food there.

I try not to blame servers for food issues that are usually the kitchen, but in this case, it sounds like the servers blew it.

They probably got fucked over because some shit heads from the staff called in sick for dumb ass reasons, and everyone who did come to work was suffering as well because of it.

Most likely the case, however, their inability to effectively communicate, especially once I asked to speak with the manager, put me over the edge. This was the first time I have ever walked a bill.

Every other time we have been, the service has been ok. I'm not sure how familiar you are with Greenville, I've been in the area most of my life and I can pretty much guarantee that if you are hoping for the quality of food you had in Amarillo, you will be severely disappointed. I would challenge anyone to eat at any chain restaurant in Greenville and then go compare it to ANY other restaurant in that chain, and the difference will be quite significant. Not only in the level of service, but also the quality of the food.
