  • So, should I buy some drywall

Father in laws place in Beaumont was flooded. He's gonna need drywall. I'm thinking I should go buy as much as I can up here. I figure by the time the insurance company gets to him, he'll be waiting 6 months for materials.

Are you sure the ins company will reimburse you for 100% of the cost?
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

My buddy just did the same thing for his parents and brother who live in Houston. Bought 200 sheets.

Drywall is relatively cheap, maybe his father-in-law reimburses him (it'll be his ins. claim, not the OPs)

Besides, family is forever and all that jazz.

I figure its gonna get short and any deductible will be way over what I will pay. I'm leaving now. I'll get what I can safely put on my trailer.
Thanks, been mulling it over all day.
I was in Houston all last week. Holy shit folks, never seen anything like that.

I was in Baton Rouge last year after it had flooded and the shit was incredible. There were houses where it looked like they ripped every sheet of drywall out of it and just threw it on the curb. Looked like a third world country.
