I don't fat shame anyone. I just do not address it. That's like me telling a patient to quit smoking. LoL. Not happening and how dare I try to counsel them on something that they choose to do. If you're fat, then I am sure you are aware of it and choose not to do anything about it. That's your business...minimizes my time in the room.

Chronic biscuititis is not an emergency.

Dave, that is sad you have to do that. I was talking to my neighbor who is an ortho and he said you have to be so PC nowadays since people are using yelp to complain about every little thing. In the past calling someone overweight was the truth, now it is shaming.

I see no difference in calling someone overweight as calling someone a druggie. That is the truth whether they like it or now. Now what they do after the visit is up to them, but they have the truth. Rather have that than someone lying to me.

One issue that comes up though is that often it is not possible to get in to see your chosen doctor on short notice because their workload has become so overburdened.

Ya, hence carenow places and such. Sometimes it's 3 weeks out to see the 'ole PCP.

Did you have an injury that you were aware of? Hard to break your toe and not be aware of it. It's quite painful when it happens.

Just giving you shit...gout looks like it sucks.

Yup...aggravating because I am not, and will not be, a primary care doctor. I refuse to manage diabetes, hypertension and other chronic conditions in the ER. I will see anybody for anything, but I am not managing their chronic diseases.

Then the doc might be able to help you!

He can, but unfortunately it took two months to get in the last time I saw my knee specialist. That would not work very well in the event of acute issues.
