Man that is tough. If she looked at it and paid for the piece she looked at. Then took that same piece with the help of an employee......:shrugs: I think the lawyer is just giving you hope so he/she can collect on a legal fee?? It would be like a car dealer letting a person look at, test drive, pay for and take delivery of a vehicle. Then the dealer calling the buyer to say, "sorry, that was my wife's favorite vehicle ever and it was not meant to be sold off the lot! We need you to return it in the same condition it left in and pick out a different one"...........

See, we have 60 dealers in our store. So it's common to make calls to a dealer asking for a price or haggle a price.Last edited by BlackSnake; 08-02-2017, 06:06 AM.

Lawyer? What has she done that constitutes a crime?
She paid the asking price for an item. I'm not sure how you have a case. Maybe explain the situation and compromise on a price to buy it back from her. Sorry. When the government pays, the government controls.

Your original post and latest post seem contradictory. Did your employee sell her the wrong buffet, or did she buy one but intentionally pick up the other?
Second question, why on earth would you store a $8k - $9k buffet on a sales floor around other stuff for sale? Hell, just to mitigate grubby hands and accidental damage it seems like a bad place for 'storage'.
