i bet people will find an easy way to "hot wire" that option without buying the key.

Who wants to bet that if you break it with the red key in they aren't going to warranty it?

I want the car pictured above with only a red key. Could care less about the other key. It would be cool to have a valet key though to limit its speed and rev limiter for when someone else parks your car.

While neat, it's also pretty gay. Who wouldn't want the full power all the time? It's not like 412hp is completely streetable then 444hp is just WAY too much for the road.

So instead of spending $1000 on a "red key," just go make friends with a ford tech and have them download the "red key" tune permanently. OR even better, just go get an aftermarket tune.

very interesting. after my many bad experiences with Ford PATS systems, i see a lot of opportunity of problematic failure in a system as sophisticated as this.

very cool feature!!! a possible reason for doing this could be to meet cafe or epa or whatever standards to be able to produce and sell this vehicle to the public maybe?

idk either way i think its kick ass and a big plus for anyone that will be purchasing one of these

                        Thats what I was thinking.

Doesn't sound like its even an option, but a tune already in the computer that is enabled with the certain key. If so, why not sell the damn car WITH the key. Oh, if you want to use your car to its full potential you have to pay an extra $1000 for a cooler key....

am I really the only one that notices that the Boss 302 comes from the factory with 440hp? They said that way back when it was shown to the public. The key just changes a bunch of parameters meant to make it ready for the track, not have any more power.

Oops, I read it wrong. But still, not only are you spending what $45,000+ for the car, but you have to spend an extra $1,000 to access everything the car can do? Still...pretty damn gay. Why can't I just push a button? You don't have to buy a $1,000 key to get the most out of a GTR.
