  • Ford warranty ?

My cousin has a 2015 F-150 with 65k miles and his catalytic converter needs to be replaced. The truck is almost 2 years old. Shouldn't that be covered?

Emissions are covered for 10 years or so, I think.

    Edit: 8 yrs 80,000 miles

South Bay Ford Commercial in Hawthorne honors and stands by the Ford Emissions Warranty Coverage. Learn more about what is covered in your warranty.

If they keep giving him a hard time have him contact Ford corporate. Have him mention what happened to the last car company to flaunt federal emissions shit.

8 years or 80k miles, federally mandated. It should be covered at no cost to owner

My wife's 2000 trans am had 2 new catalytic converters put on in 2007 @57k miles. The passengers side would get burned up because it was mounted closer to the engine than it should have been

We probably aren't getting the whole story hear. Aftermarket performance parts can void your emission warranty. That and for all we know he could have been driving it with a dead misfire or burned up turbos for 50k miles which will definitely kill cats and wouldn't be covered due to owner negligence. Heck maybe they have impact damage.

I'd try another dealer then call corporate but if they are denying his emission coverage corporate is likely already involved.
