Can this still be the case if I no longer have my tonsils?

You're less likely to get pharyngitis post-tonsillectomy, but you can still get it. Earache?
You should still go get seen. Lymphoma can present with unilateral lymphadenopathy. But that's quite rare.

Negative on the ear ache. The only thing I feel is the tightness when I tilt my head up with my jaw closed. A little tender if I press on it but that's about it. Thanks for the info thus far.

I'll report back with the findings tomorrow...assuming the Dr. can identify an issue.

I've been so busy I forgot to update this. This is mainly for Dr. Dave's feedback, unless anyone else have seen or experienced this.

I saw the ENT Dr. that same week. She pointed out that what ever it is, it's superficial and not an issue with the deeper muscle tissue. Thyroid feels fine, blood work came back good from my regular Dr. aside from my high test levels and slightly elevated cholesterol.

As she was thinking and feeling around, she pointed out that there is a thin muscle that covers the front of the neck called Platysma that they cut through when doing surgery. This is what it appears to be but she wasn't sure what's going on since she's never seen this before. She wasn't sure if a CT scan or MRI would even "see" it so for now she wanted me to take motrin twice a day while she discusses it with a couple of imaging docs.

If you google "neck bands" you'll see images of what most of us notice on the sides of our neck. This "new" one for me is in the front.
