There used to be an old but very large and scary looking black dude that was always in the parking lot there hitting people up for change. I used to buy him a few 40oz beers and have him sit on my tailgate to keep people away from my truck and I would give him 5 bucks once I got out of the yard. No one even thought about getting near my truck and he would straight up drag folks away just for getting near it. He hated mexicans.

I am pretty sure he lived under a bridge. He did not like mexicans because he remembered when blacks had the jobs that mexicans do now and he was a racist. I talked with him a great deal and while he was an uneducated man he was not a fool and he had the wisdom that comes with age. Alcohol was his downfall but he had lived an interesting life. I just happened to run accross him near the end of it.

I never felt like there was any threat there. Had one guy ask where a section was but that was it. I guess my "don't fuck with me" look is really working.

I do pay attention to the foot steps though and usually will get up/out from what ever I'm doing until they're gone...must be instinct.
