And people that don't enjoy taking their lunch hour to run a fools errand to do and pay for something that has no data backing it up that it makes anything safer.

You forgot dealing with the jackasses that don't know the rules. I cussed at one that failed me for a factory automatically releasing parking brake.

How do you show proof of inspection online?

I work in Denton county and live in Collins county. This year has been impossible for the stars to align to get shit done.

When they inspect the vehicle they enter a pass or fail into the state database. When you go online to renew your registration it looks for a PASS on the inspection. If it says you passed then it lets you continue doing the registration. Otherwise it will tell you that you arent eligible to get the registration.

Serious question, my current tag is good until 2/18. Can I wait until March to get my registration done and not have to worry about a state inspection?
You have a 10 day grace period, so yes.
Unless it takes effect at the end of March.

I just renewed my registration on the 9th grace day without penalty.
                      Did I just get lucky?
