My dad had a 1985 Ranger that he ordered back then, primarily to be used for hunting / camping. V6 regular cab, Short wide bed, bench (vinyl) seat, vinyl floor, 5 speed. That was an awesome little truck and the vinyl was awesome. Never had to worry about getting in dirty and cleaned up really fast and easy.

I've been looking at lightly used 250s. I wanted a Lariat but part of me wants to just get a stripped model with vinyl floors and add leather takeoff seats or get some from leatherseats.com

Yup, once these trucks went aluminum, the prices got outrageous. I remember back in 2012 helping my sis get a brand new '12 XLT Supercrew 5.0 for $29k OTD. Sticker on it was $37k.

I was looking at New trucks last night. 10k or more down and payments in the 650-750 range... That's just crazy.
