I've been working on the 66 a lot lately, and joined up to the Vintage-Mustang Forum last year for some good classic-specific tech and discussion.

The bastards at AutoGuide that grenaded dfwstangs.net are in full effect there and the ads make the site damn near unusable. Administration is a string of a dozen or so first names that ignore the big problems.

I say all of this to say that we're smart to have abandoned the old site and we're lucky to have this one.

They're not all bad. At least, the ones on the forum aren't. I don't love facebook groups so I mostly ignore them.

This post really struck a nerve with me. I have sold my Mustang and I don't know if I want to get another just because of the people who own them. As customers, they are the worst. They think their car was created by the hand of God and how dare you not bring it back to better than factory condition or miss a piece of trash underneath the rocker panel....of course Im exaggerating, but their expectations are absurd! I've driven a Stang since 98' and I'm pretty damn sure I was never as douchey as they are.

One of reasons I have been thinking of selling mine, lots of crowd surfing DBs driving stangs these days thinking they are hot shit but have no talent.

Once the divorce started, I ended all social media and never went back. I'm running into these assholes everywhere in real life, that the real bummer part of it!

I find that the 15+ mustang people aren't as bad as the guys in the 99-10 are.
But I swear the absolute worst "car people" right now are the (you couldn't beat a) Hellcat people. I say it that way because none of the one's I've met actually have a hellcat anything. Most have half ton dodge trucks. It's just no matter what car we are talking about they always say "a hellcat has 700hp and could beat it."
