Depends on the hobby. My chick isn't at all into car/truck stuff, car or home audio, or fishing. But my favorite hobby by far is camping, and she's very much into that right there with me. I'm super thankful that she is, because it makes camping better and our relationship better. I don't think I would be nearly as happy in life with a chick who didn't enjoy camping and the outdoors.

My wife is into almost everything I do. Hell I wouldn't have it any other way. I've got my turbo ranger, she's got her 15 GT, She goes to the track with me, watches nascar with me, goes shooting with me, hits the air shows, rc flying field, rc events, swap meets, and gets drunk with me.

Tanya's not into the car hobby, nor does she know or care what I spend on my car, and I'm completely fine with it. Nor is she impressed with strength or muscular men, but knows that the gym is important to me.

Conversely I support her singing and teaching by attending events when I can, and buying the equipment, or now I stay he with Christopher, but I'm not up her ass about it.

I told her before we ever even entertained the idea of marriage that I liked doing XYZ. She understood and accepts all of my hobbies, some of which she participates in somewhat. She had her stuff, her XYZ. I am totally fine with it and participate in some of it. Essentially, there needs to be a 'you' and a 'her' and some fun stuff you both meet in the middle of. My guess is because they are not really "car chicks" but rather attention whores that know that "cars" are an avenue to all the attention they desire from guys as it is a predominantly guy thing to do.

My wife gave up judging me on my car and guns issues. She just joins in...if she is in a good mood lol. She's actually a good sport about it. Another reason I put the automatic in the Cobra so now she can drive it too.

My daughter on the other hand has been to TMS more times in her 4 years than I have in my life. During Friday Night Drags my wife takes her almost every Friday. She goes to the practice races at TMS at the twice a year races. I just asked her if she was ready to go see some real drag racing and she was ecstatic, so we will be found at Denton a few weekend nights this month. I can't wait to get her into shooting when she is old enough. Hell she works on her own car (pink powerwheels mustang) while I am working on the Cobra. Like hood popped and crawled into the fake engine bay turning her own plastic tools.

I gave my kid cars and hopefully a gun habit so she won't ever be able to afford a drug habit.
