    Thanks. Will look into it.

But isn't the traffic along 121/183 a bitch? I've gone by there on a Sunday afternoon and the highway is going 30-40 mph.

You've read my mind but missed the part about trying to narrow my search down to just a few areas of Arlington.
I live in Keller and drive to that area every day, I leave mu house at 8:00 sharp, usually get to work at 8:45 or so. 25.5 miles, 45-60 minutes. Getting home is usually a little slower.
183 is horrible, as is 35W, I take Beach street to 30, then shoot down to the Legends/Baird Farm exit and go to work.

There used to be some decent apartments off of Post & Paddock on 360. When I was there I rented a house off of Mayfield and 360, it wasn't the best neighborhood, but I never had a single issue. Before that I lived in some mediocre apartments behind the Schlotzkies at Green Oaks & 360, I never had my car messed with but my neighbor had the rims, hood, throttle body and mass air stolen off his Z28. My mustang went straight to EW the next day for an alarm lol.

The most excitement I saw while in Arlington was when that guy killed his wife and her kids then drove all the way across Arlington and had a stand-off with the cops just down the street from my house. Some how the cops let him escape again and he shot himself as he drove into the lake.

Here is the play by play from canada lol

Whats your budget? I have lived in an apartment complex in park row and fielder, that has been crime free since I got here. (3 years here)

What apartment complex is it? Just from my initial browsing, it seems $700 and up for a 1 br will be the range.

Which areas? There have been suggestions in this thread from all over Arlington. If you want to be close to Six Flags, go further North. At least Brown or Green Oaks, and get away from 360.

the QT at 360 and green oaks looks like a donk convention most of the time

Find a place in Las Colinas, take the short trip down 161 and be there in 10-15 minutes.

There is actualy a nice set of apartments on ave K just east of 360 called Meadow green.
They are actually in Grand Prairie.
                      Might look into those

Riverside Dr seems to be favored. Will check those out.

                        Thanks for the inputs.

Actually I enjoyed living in North Arlington, off Green Oaks. Litterally across the street from Fox and Hound.

Same here. Arlington is pretty much like any other huge suburban sprawl. There are good areas and bad areas right next to each other all over the place. 350k people, all filtering through it. Arlington gets a bad rap, and maybe it deserves it, but I like living here. It's central to the rest of DFW, and unless you're shelling out some serious coin to live in one of the super nice cities around here, it is an alright area to live in with plenty to do and see.
