Spent the weekend at good guys with my wife and my dad. Took Dad's 65 mustang Saturday and took the ranger today. Had a blast with the old man, and his car got a ton of attention.
I had two big surprises today, first was how much positive attention the the truck got. I mean people where asking questions, asking me to start it up, and taking a ton of pictures of it. It made my day.
Second was while registering the lady at the desk told me the new year cut off next year is changing to 1987!
This is going to be a huge shake up! it's going to bring A LOT of fox bodies out!! some people might not like that.There's a lot of mustang hate on all American Sundays that I've seen.
I do think its cool that we'll get to see all the GNX cars, SVO's and what not. All the 80's muscle will be a fun addition.
This changes my personal goal for the next years event. Satuday I vowed to my dad that I'll have my 72 Rivi running for the Fall show, and that we'd roll that car with his stang to all the shows. But now I'll be able to show up with that or the Ranger. Maybe I'll have the wife drive one and I'll drive the other and we'll bring them both to all three days. Time will tell.
I didn't take many pictures, but there where some damn nice rides. Anyone get pics?
