  • Regular cab short bed

Well, after 11 years I'm taking on a new job and will need something to get me from Scurry to Dallas for a while. I thought about the two door Tahoe route, but mileage scares me considering they were last made in 99. I'm now thinking the short bed single cab option with a V8. Any reccomendations of certain year model/engine choices to stay away from? Know of any for sale locally, I wouldn't mind owning one with a slight drop.

    Thanks

Group was originally made for the purpose of talking about our Sierras and Silverados but has become a buy, sell or trade page but I still encourage people to post their builds.

also pretty sure the user sc281 on here has one that he is not doing anything with for at least 4 years.

just bought a 2 door Tahoe, not the wisest decision for a gas efficient car.

Those wheels are retarded. What a way to ruin a truck.

Yep. The other day, I saw someone down at Sloan's with a white 85 GT convertible. Not sure if they are a member or not.

OK, I gotta ask... Why not a fuel efficient car?

This was my first thought as well. My commute is half of his and I still hate filling up my gas tank in my '02 5.3 Silverado.

In all honesty I'll be in a company truck after 90 days. So while I will be using it for work short term, I'd like to find something more reliable than my wagon for trips around town or going to the lake.

I've seen that one a few times, they live off 34 heading towards Ennis. Mine is a graphite with grey gt stripe 90, or the big 86 crown Vic ltd wagon with lace wheels and lowered.

Well I didn't find a single cab in the mileage range I wanted, the one I found with a 6.0 swap was rough. I did find an extended cab with 131k miles, 4.8 in good shape for a decent price compared to everything else out there.
