Miata is a fun car, but I can't see myself daily driving one. All depends on what you're looking for.
Fast car - 4th gen Fbody
Luxury Car - Lincoln Towncar
Sporty Car - Miata/C4 corvette
Gas saver - Toyota Camry.
If you were interested, I am selling an 02 Z28 with 121k for $5k.

I had an IS300 for about 2 years that was kind of fun. I now rock a Toyota Corolla I picked up for a hell of a deal ($4k, blue book was $6.2k) because a lady I worked with was moving to NC and had a jeep waiting for her there. Used 4 banger econobox and no payment is where I'm probably staying for the next decade.

It all depends in what you want in a daily. If just a normal invisible reliable car I can tell you the cars we see the least in for repair are Toyota Camry/Corolla, Honda Accord/Civic and pretty much any Subaru.
Stay away from anything Korean. You can get what seems like a lot of car for the money but the parts on Kia/Hyundai/Daewoo is just nuts. Talking $350 for a thermostat housing and $470 for an AC compressor kinda stupid.Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
