  • Shop for Resto/Mod 69 Land Cruiser

Like the title says I'm looking for someone to spruce up a 69 Land Cruiser. Not looking for numbers matching type work or a blown LS powered tube frame rockcrawler either... Basically some where in between. Ideally i'd like to find someone localish to DFW but would travel a bit for the right people. It's not a complete rust bucket either plus runs/drives/ is complete so whomever won't be starting from scratch.

Posting this here as I remember there were a few land cruiser types lurking around.

This seems like something the guys at Anything Automotive might be interested in.

Dallas Offroad has probably done an LS conversion on one as well.

              You got any pics?

              I miss my 71 FJ40. Had a 350, granny 4spd, 4.11's and 36's on a spring over.

Not on this computer or on my phone actually. I'm headed to the ranch tomorrow for the weekend so I'll snap some since I'm hauling it back sunday.

Here is the 40 section on IH8MUD (Land Cruiser forum - great for anything you'd ever want to do)...

And here is a link to the DFW Land Cruiser forum on mud as well...

There is a great cruiser mechanic in NRH, named Mike Dadja. He has worked on one of my cruisers that I just didn't have time for. He had a ton of various year cruisers at his shop every time I have been up there.

What's the going price for a drive-able 40 right now? Not looking for a show queen, just something with decent mechanicals.
