Been thinking about it myself, got a friend urging me to do so. I'd probably only ride at very low traffic times in my small town. Can't really see myself in arlington traffic on one of those things.

Friend who lives out in the sticks refuses to get one, because deer. He has a good point.

I think I will sell mine this summer. Too many close calls, it will be my first time without a bike in over 15 years.

I've ridden them all and in many different manners and I finally got got a few months ago. Doesn't much matter how skilled you are when it comes to everyday street riding. BTW it hurts...bad. I was lucky beyond measure. I'm back at it though

When I worked for HD someone either died or was crippled every other week. Sometimes right in front of our eyes. Exiting the parkinglot, taking delivery, it was awful. I started to feel like a contributor to the deaths of people just working in the industry. And it's the traffic around the city that is to blame for the most part...albeit there are some major dumbasses on bikes. One friend of mine, on a sport bike, hit a cinder block out on 30 and endoed---that was neither traffic nor dumbassery, but freak accidents can occur, too....just too many ways to die on a bike. Dirt bikes, though. atv's, there's a good alternative...at least be rid of traffic, You're safer in a field.

i sometimes think of never having bought my first street bike.

i wish i would have had friends that rode dirt bikes back then, i have had so much more fun on dirt than the street. of course i have spent a couple of weeks in the hospital due to crashes on both, but i still have my dirt bikes.

although, i want a grom. i want a grom real bad.
