Okay, that was fun. Protesters, riots, burning limos, people in pussy hats. Holy shit do they know how to show a guy a good time.

So, went to the inauguration and saw interesting things.* There were protesters with Che signs (I was in a suit and asked to get a picture with them and they were happy to do it), I took pictures with women from the Million women march, I palled around with the BLM people (while holding tickets to the Trump party) and enjoyed the swearing in.
Then there were the riots, the burning of limos a few blocks from me, tear gas, shouts, running and the city was blocked off.* The ball parties, I got to be in full dress uniform which was nice to do that again and then off to NYC where I hit Time Square and stayed in a slum hotel just to get a feel for it.* For the first time in years I got completely trashed, bought a NYC sweat shirt hoodie, ate at the Times Square Hard Rock, saw my Ginger girlfriend Lady Liberty, Ellis Island, Wall Street, had NY pizza (not impressed) and mourned at the 9/11 memorial.
This was a very interesting weekend.

I'm trying to get them off my phone. I have a lot of video and has anyone else been to the 9/11 memorial? Walking across the road we all were laughing and talking and as soon as you step foot on the grounds, everyone gets somber. Not just us but EVERYONE. It was.....breathtaking.

NY is an awesome place to go. Would never want to live there, though. It's all a giant amusement park with the lights and side show freaks. Loved the pizza. Ate at any Italian restaurant we could find while we were there. The 9/11 memorial was outstanding as well.

Interesting tidbit: I ran into a few of the "Million women" idiots at the hotel. They were 4 to a room and I talked with them in the hall while out of uniform and looking like a hobo. Seems they were making bank to be there and were given homemade signs when they got there.
