There's a difference between daily driving, and your only mode of transportation. Most of us aren't the one car per person statistic they use to research car selling patterns

I haven't read this whole thread but one of the best car purchases I have made as of late is the 2006 Acura RL I got for my wife. Its super reliable, parts are cheap, pretty good mileage, lots of nice features (more so considering its year) and the car was super cheap for a car that was over 50k new. I see newer ones with 40k on them for 12-14k
The AWD is nice and the little V6 has some nice pep to it. Doing the speed limit its giving me 28MPG and with my aggressive driving habits I still see 23.5 MPG. Its very roomy and the leather is nice plus the OEM stereo sounds pretty good. Just did front and rear brakes with rotors and ceramic pads for under $200. So far every part I have priced has been cheap. Plus it has Honda reliability. We repair 5-8 cars a day here and see maybe one Honda every other month and its usually normal maintenance stuff.
Never was a Honda guy but I really like this car and while shes back in Maui at my other house I find myself using it over my Denali and I LOVE my Denali.
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

04 and up (or whatever year the body changed) the transmissions are fine in the v6.
