Car accident question

Anyone have any luck with getting the deminished value of the car after an accident, wife just got tboned and they didnt total it out.

I've gotten it twice, just tell the other insurance company you want diminished value claim filed to. They will not offer it, but if you ask they will do it. I got like 50% of the damage caused on the diminished value.
