  • Mike Manis in ICU...

Some of you may know Mike. He is a member here but doesn't post much. We had a golf benefit back in the day after his house burned down.
He was injured in a bike wreck after someone pulled out in front of him on his Harley. He sustained some severe injuries including multiple rib fractures with injury to his lung and a severe head injury. I was told he was DOA but medics were able to revive him. He's on a ventilator in the ICU at a hospital up there and they are planning on putting in a tracheostomy since he won't likely be coming off the ventilator anytime soon.
This could happen to any of us and I don't care how much money you make your family would struggle if you weren't able to work for several months. A friend of his started a gofundme account to help them through this. If anyone is interested in donating I will post up the account link.

Mike's a good guy and would help others if the roles were reversed. If you can't donate, then at least send up a prayer. He's gonna need those worse than money anyway.

    Thank you.

                  What terrible news.

I am surprised they revived him after a trauma code. Very rare and typically against protocol. However I am glad they did as he could be a miracle but if nothing else it will help his family have closure.
