Autonation Ford in Arlington matched within a 1000.00 of what I was going to retail my FX4 for. Worth it not to hassle with it. Plus they can get more for it because of all the financing they can do for potential buyers. Sometimes it can be a real pain in the ass getting financing for a individual owned car. Chase flat out said they won't finance cars like that anymore. They got burned to many times. Liens on cars, or car never appeared. USAA would have but ultimately it was to much mailing and faxing for me. It took two weeks to get a deal down on my first FX4 with a guy using Wells Fargo. Just easier to trade them in some times.

Also worth noting... for every $10k in trade value you get, you'll receive $625.00 in tax breaks on the vehicle being purchased. Only caveat is the vehicle being purchased has to be registered in TX.

The emissions equipment really kills the longevity of all the new diesels. I do not think there is a new diesel being produced today that is as solid as the 7.3. 2011 + F250's/ 350's with the 6.7 come close, however, and all the people who were holding onto the 7.3s are finally jumping ship and moving to the 6.7's. That is why you can get the 7.3s very cheap now. Hell, I just saw a CCSB 4x4 7.3 F250 with under 200k miles for less than 10k today. 2 years ago it would have been a 14k + truck.
I have not heard of any widespread serious issues with the 6.7 truck and the interior/ ride is super nice if you go for a lariat or platinum edition. Anyone here that saws otherwise just had some bad luck. You can go on the Facebook pages and no matter if it is the 7.3, 6.4, 6.7, etc. page, everyone says to go 6.7. I'll be making the move soon as well. I only drive my trucks 4k miles a year so I figure I'll go with a low mile one and be done. I've currently got a 6.4 and it runs great, love the truck, and especially the power, but everyday I get in it I say a little prayer hoping I won't need to buy a 10k motor.Originally posted by Da PrezFuck dfwstangs!! I am on my third and fourth 6.7, and have been very happy up to this point with just a few issues.
15' F-250 XL 4x4 - put 90k miles in about 16 months, nothing but oil changes and tires at 80k
15' F-250 Lariat FX4 - put 60k miles in 18 months, only had problems with the traction control light coming on, and the backup camera going in and out. Dealer changed back up camera and never had an issue with either again.
16' F-350 Lariat FX4 - has around 38k miles, no issues so far
16' F-350 Lariat FX4 - has 45k miles, at the dealer having torque converter replaced (under warranty)
That being said, we run a hotshot company and 90% of the miles on these trucks are pulling a 32' to 38' gooseneck with up to 16k lbs on them at times, so we work them pretty hard.
One thing to note, is the length of the powertrain warranty. From what I have been told by the dealers, they changed for the 2016 model.
2011-2015 - 100k miles
2016-2017 changed to 60k miles
I think they also upgraded the turbo, hpfp, and a few other things in 2015 over the 11-14 models, so that is something to consider.
I also agree with yellowstang on the new vs used. The rebates and discounts make it hard to buy a used truck these days. Check out Holiday Ford in Whitesboro. They usually have a pretty good inventory, and decent pricing.

I did the entire deal in a few hours from home, and they delivered the truck to my door the next day at no additional cost.
I looked at used F250s for about two months and finally decided to go brand new with the prices they had on the stripped down model.WRX
