I have seen a number of people here post about energy ogre (as above), and it looks promising. I might try it if I didn't get electric from my employer at 5.3 cents per kWh.

One more for energy ogre. I don't have an exact savings because we moved houses and signed up during the move, but our bills at this bigger house are less than our old bills for the same months. We'll see how it stacks up once this cold front moves out a little.G'Day Mate

Another vote for Energy Ogre. Let them do the work for you. I haven't done the math to know exactly how much I'm saving, but my first month with them I saved more than enough to pay for Energy Ogre's fee for the entire year.
Beenfetched also uses energy Ogre, and he posted a pic of his bill the other day. They've got him on a contract that is $0.02/kWh, which is unheard of.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Be careful here. Companies can/will say .00x per/kw then add their fees. I'm in the business and see it all the time. Power to choose, be ready to read and do the math!

They will break contracts when it makes sense to do so, but the general idea is they sign you up for short term contracts to take advantage of the fluctuating rates. And sometimes they sign you up for places that have a lot of extra fees, but only when your total bill would be cheaper to do it that way. To me, not having to deal with it myself is worth the $10/mo. But I'm also saving well over $100/mo during the summer, etc.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Now I'm very curious. I wonder how much, if any, money is left on the table with ogre. Anyone willing to participate in a little experiment? If so, post up you zip code, most recent bill (minus taxes) and your kw used. I'll do the math and compare.Originally posted by Taya Kyle, American GunThere comes a time when honest debate, serious diplomatic efforts, and logical arguments have been exhausted and only men and women willing to take up arms against evil will suffice to save the freedom of a nation or continent.
