I've heard nothing but good things about TDP.

TDP and Standard Transmission and Gear over in Fort Worth are the two best for 6 speed rebuilds around here. I was going to use TDP, but he was swamped, so I went to Standard. They did a great job on my T-56.

You'll find an overwhelming amount of positive reviews. He obviously knows what he's doing. The only real complaints I've seen are from scheduling conflicts which you are always going to have in his industry. Everyone wants their stuff done first.

As noted Standard is also good and a much bigger company. http://standardtransmission.com/ TDP probably buys a lot of their stuff from them.

What's the going rate for a T-56 rebuild these days? Nothing's broken, just needs new synchros and a few bushings.

He built a T56 and a TR6060 for us. He even picked up and delivered them. I would use him again.

My buddy Davey at I35 Transmissions in Lancaster also does bad ass work. He can build whatever you want and is straight up no BS on pricing.

TDP rebuilt the transmission in my Shelby and did an excellent job. When I called him about an issue I thought was part of the transmission, after the rebuild, they stood by their work with no questions asked and were willing to take a look but turned out to be differential gear issue. Great work and stand up guys.

$800. Parts are stupid expensive for them. Mine was totally trashed and needed a $2400 stage 2 kit installed,

It is rare to find a used one that needs only those parts.

Julian the main guy at tdp built my t56 for my camaro. Shifts are buttery smooth and I find myself downshifting up to red lights just for the fun of it

My fbody t56 stage 2 with bell housing was $2300. I didn't have a core, converted my car from automatic

Did you just buy a ready to go transmission from them?

Yes and no. They had to find me a core first. When one became available I was made aware that I needed to show up that day with the money or some one else would. This was still when tdp worked on cars in house, and had several parts cars behind the shop in fort Worth. I bought nearly all of my swap parts from them for around $3200. I also bought a used diamond stage 2 clutch Jason had at the shop. It took a little while to break in the ceramic side but I love it now. 3 years no problems

I think I sold my 4l60 and torque converter and center console to a guy in Plano for $600.

They rebuilt the Borg Warner Super T-10 4 speed and the 10 bolt rear end in my 10th anniversary T/A. No issues, no leaks, no hassles. Very nice people. I would do business with them again if I were ever back in Texas and needed something fixed.
