I went to one in round Rock ish area, it was OK. Twin peaks is better.

Twin Peaks has pretty decent food, considering that it's a breastaurant. It's by far, the best food out of all of those types. They at least make almost everything in house. Will be interesting to see what their future holds now that Frontburner has sold it.

Last time I went to club off 157 it was July 2nd, 2006 and it was Baby Dolls. I got escorted out and beat with a maglight. Fucked me up real good worked me over across my face and head and stomped a couple ribs. I deployed to Afg 2 weeks later and barely passed my physical with bruised ribs, a couple knots on forehead, broken blood vessel in my eye... Not a finer moment of my life as a drunk. The joke "I ain't got 20 bucks" isn't so funny to a stripper.

I've got a bunch of outrageous stories from nights hanging at that place back in the late '90s/early '00s. Damn near svo-level shit.

Kind of like the exact same reason you don't punch random people in the face because they annoy you. Because it is against the law. If that shit was legal it would be abused a hell of a lot more. Meth is very addictive and some casual usage would ga a lot further than say marijuana.

No, I don't punch annoying people in the face because I'm not a violent asshole. I'm a decent human being who can control myself and I don't feel like being annoying warrants physical attack. It's not the law holding me back.

Same with drug users, for the most part. If they are the type that would do drugs, they'll do them anyway. The ones who wouldn't normally do drugs aren't going to suddenly do them just because it's legal. The only thing prohibition does is make those people criminals. Of course there are exceptions, but they are just that - exceptions, and not the rule.

Do some research and you'll find facts to support my side and debunk yours. I'm not talking out of my ass. Read up on Portugal, for example.

I have had years of experience with this kind of shit and once they are hooked on it, they almost never get off. So go ahead and legalize some highly addictive shit and see what happens. I have never seen marijuana destroy lives like I have meth and crack.

The better way to handle the whole issue with incarcerations, futures, and job prospects is to do it like a ticket. I would be a huge supporter of drug convictions falling off your record at some point. Misdemeanors after say two years and a drug test, and felony's after say 4 years and a drug test.

I don't think we should penalize people for life over a few poor decisions.

I know several people who are addicted to pot. I also know several people who have used meth/ice/whatever and didn't get addicted. That said, I do realize that it's typically very addictive. That doesn't change anything, though. People will use or not use, regardless of the laws. Prohibition is a failed strategy. Legalize, regulate, put at least part of funds saved towards education and treatment programs. It won't be a cure for the problems drugs cause, but it certainly works better than criminalization.

my red headed ex wife worked there in 01-02....she was a bartender....I used to go up there and sit with her sometimes and enjoy the scenery...They had some pretty good talent up there
