I have only been there once and it was a huge tourist trap. It was all pancake houses, "ten t-shirts for a dollar" turdholes and go kart tracks. There were at least ten of each in town. The national park there is awesome though.

Wildfire burning in and around the city with multi structures already burning. The ENTIRE town of Gatlinburg is under evacuation orders however the fires were moving fast enough people got trapped. Tons of pics and videos being posted on social media and YouTube. Looking like it is going to be really bad....

I haven't been to Gatlinburg since the late '70's, but have been to Branson in past 5-6 years. Have to say I liked it, but then again I'm old, lol. Would be even better there if they had casinos...

Branson is like the Godly version of Vegas. Silver dollar city is always fun though.
