  • Wholesale Diamonds

Any of you fellas ever purchased a diamond wholesale rather than going and paying the ridiculous prices at jewelry stores? I'd like to start looking for one but honestly have no idea on how to go about it without getting scammed.

Bluenile.com is a good place to shop.

I've not done it with a diamond, but I just bought a ruby from Diamond & Gold Warehouse on Alpha They are a wholesaler, they've got great reviews, and I had a very good experience with them.

      I dealt with Max.

Thanks fellas. I'm not local so would probably have to use an online place to purchase.

If you'd like I can get you my dads number. He was a private jeweler for like 40yrs, he can help you through the entire process, picking out the diamond, and designing the ring. His prices are damn good too, he pretty much done all my buddy's rings, and a lot of the guys at the fire department keep going through him now too.

I bought a diamond and setting separately and had a jeweler put it together when I proposed to my wife. People stop her daily and marvel at her ring and I guarantee I spent a fraction of what it would cost to buy the same quality stone at a jeweler!

Not sure if she is still around, but DasVWBabe is the go to for this sort of thing. She helped me find the stone that I ended up purchasing. She is a wealth of knowledge and was EXTREMELY helpful!

The entire diamond industry is a scam.

See if this guy still has an engagement ring for sale. Looks like a great deal!

I recently used BlueNile and paid about $4000 for the same ring you would get at a big store for about $8000.

Not exactly what you're asking for, but I shopped around several jewelry stores and ended up getting my wife's ring at The Diamond Doctor. The quality was much better than similar-sized rings that were priced double at other stores.

                          Diamond Doctor is a wholesaler.

He was just bought out in the last couple of weeks. I'm sure to cover the payouts on the fraud lawsuits. He allegedly got caught overgrading stones.

Ha... Learned my lesson buying that ring. But after making some trades with it and selling the items I got for it ended up $4K Cash and over $1K worth of 308 Ammo. Did take some time moving it though.
