How is merging threads power tripping?

My thread and akfodysvn's thread, which both asked the same thing.

It sounds to me like a MOD saw two threads that were the same that they should be merged, I don't see the problem. I don't see the threads either, where are they?

And BTW it wasn't me and I'm not the only MOD here and at any given time there are several MODs online. I haven't been online much, I posted about the Cubs last night and this morning about drinking too much during the game and right now.

Hardly, I was just curious about why that salvage title thread was closed. Don't care that it was, just wanted to know the reason.
