I think the deal with a lot of cops is that they're probably trained to be assertive and not pushovers. There's a fine line between assertiveness and arrogance. Also, time on the force probably has a lot to do with it. I can only imagine how much a cop changes from his first year to his tenth. It's probably also a lot of what has that cop in particuliar experienced? If a routine stop has turned ugly for him, he's probably not gonna be as laid back as another officer who hasn't had anything crazy happen to him.

These are all assumptions of course, but I think they're probably accurate to an extent.

Very true, first time I met you was a traffic stop for my ass speeding. LMAO @ it now but you're definitely not deserving of a FTP.
