  • Need a New Fence

I'm looking for someone to build me a new fence in Richardson.

Anyone have any recommendations? The only place I can get to return my call wanted about $40/ft, which seems pretty insane to me.

same boat. back alley is 72 ft long. I'd like a 36 ft fixed fence and a 36 ft sliding gate w/ all the goodies near the dallas arboretum

What are the specs on the fence they quoted? 6 or 8ft...side by side or board on board? I work for a fence company

Thats almost exactly what I'm looking for. 64ft on the alley with a sliding gate. But I also need one side and a swinging gate too.

6ft. Side by Side. Metal posts. Stained. Also includes old fence removal.

All said and done with the two gates the quote was about 10k....

That's why you pay them afterwards... Drop them off in down town Dallas and peace out on them.

And most importantly, do not tell them where you live.

I know you're looking for somebody to do it for you, but if you do the work (or have somebody else do it) I would suggest getting your materials from Dallas Cedar (http://www.dallascedar.net). They have better quality wood (actual 3/4" or 1" thick pickets) and their prices are pretty good. I paid $8,500 for 650 linear feet and that included everything: 6' tall fence, 3/4" pickets side by side (1,400 pickets), 2x4 cedar runners, 2x6 pressure treated kicker, metal poles (thicker walls than what Lowes has in stock), brackets, concrete, etc. Included delivery and everything came pre-stained. I did all the work myself back in November.

If I was replacing an existing wood fence I would do it myself.

But I'm replacing chain link and I need the 2 gates built, so it's a bit more than I can do on my own

Cisco fencing has done some great stuff all over Plano and Frisco. That $40 number is a little high, I think they did mine for around $35 but it looks fantastic.

http://www.hancockfence.com/ Just did mine in early September. Did 160ft board on board #1 cedar, 6ft, cedar top cap, double trim, bottom kick board, 6ft apart metal post 3ft underground, gate see through decor. For $6,800. Expensive but hands down the best fence in my hood. They came highly recommended by many people to me. There lifetime gates are awesome. My fence height is about 6'5" with all the options. I got it stained by superior wood care.
