  • Need Some tires Mounted (with care)

Have sent PM to Willam Wallace but I don't think he is on here much. If anyone knows another way to reach him let me know (I've never met him).

I have a set of forged Racelines that I just had powdercoated, and I'm very simply needing to have my tires remounted on them when I get them back from the Powder Coater tomorrow or Friday. I don't want to hassle with any of the monkeys at NTB, Discount, etc. to avoid them being screwed up. The wheels are this exact model - http://www.racelinewheels.com/p-505-...al-ko-cap.aspx but I have had the entire wheel powdered in a black matte finish, including the lip/barrel. The outer lip on the wheel is the rounded style, so the tires have to be mounted from the rear (this is what Discount and NTB both whined about when I had them dismounted for the coating). Otherwise there is nothing else odd about them....they are 18x8 and 18x9.5, with 255/40's up front and 275/40's out back (the same tires that came off a couple weeks ago)....just need tires remounted and balanced. Would like to find some place on the west side...Ft. Worth, Denton, etc.

    TIA

Post some pics when you get them back. I think they are going to look awesome on your car.

Thanks man...this is actually just one part of an entirely new theme that I'm going with on it this year....I'm grabbing some cues from the old Mickey Thompson land speed Boss cars, but with a vintage road race twist....and still a little bit of Pro-Touring. I'm hoping that the black wheels will really make the Baer brakes stand out a lot more. I was just sick of the gray on it, and doing away with all of that.

What's the hookup price on "unmounting" a set of tires? I have some tires and wheels I need to sell that I believe will be more marketable unmounted.

I've got a 12 pack of stones! (well not really, but I can get one!)

CRAIG just bring those too me.

Jason If needed I can probably do them our machine but let me do a test on a different wheel to see if the new machine we have will mark them up or not when mounting the tires from the back.

I recondition headlights on most cars for $50.00. If interested shoot me a pm.

Who powdercoated them and how much, if you don't mind.

http://burlesonpowdercoating.com/Home_Page.html Nick is a good guy too. I'm picking them up tomorrow...so haven't seen them yet, but have no doubt they turned out great! These guys come highly recommended.

I honestly didn't ask about price when I dropped them off, was more-so concerned with them being done right. However, when I called a couple days ago they said $250 was where we ended up...seems like a damned good deal to me.
