Jesus, you people do realize that cars can do more than go in a straight line, right? And nice than a fox? lolololololololololol! Yale's smarter than Whiteboy, but he's no Harvard graduate.

I had a split rear bumper '74 (only year to have that) and I loved it.

'77 is a good year for them as well. My family and I restore Stingrays and 240/260/280z's whenever we get the itch.

'73 had the split rear. '74's were all plastic. They might be good to restore, but they were junk new.

          No.

This is a '74 split rear

This is how a '73 looks

I meant '73 chrome, like my earlier post. Any of the plastic doesn't do it for me. When the cars were new, the Texas heat would warp them before they even left the lot. Friendly Chevrolet had 20+ of them that had to be replaced back then.

The main problem with a Vette is the the price of common parts. I really dig early 70's Vette's but the price you pay for interior for example is lame if you go for body panels forgetaboutit!

This is true. Try pricing some of the small shit like kick panels and such. Pains me every time we have to replace any of that.

My dad used to have a '78 Pace Car. It was sweet as hell. Had a pimp silver interior in it. But it was also pretty slow, having an L48 350/auto.

Kinda lame, but this is the only pic I have.

My current project....and one of my favorite years. I like the early chrome bumpers, and the last few years but not into the middle year C3's.

                    Whos your Daddy?

Is that an '80/'81 model? Nice project and smog exempt! No holds barred!

Its an 82. It is just sitting while I build my funds. It needs brakes, carpet and paint to be back in the game. It sat since about 03 so all my calipers are leaking. I am a damn good brake guy but I keep hearing to buy rebuilt calipers and do not try to rebuild them myself. I have it running pretty well and it sounds pretty sweet with straight exhaust. LOL

                            Is it still cease-fire injected?

Yes and I havent made a descision on that yet. Ifff I keep it I may carb and turbo it just for something a little different. I dont have much into it so my options are open. Believe it or not there is some really good support for the x fire now and guys pushing 400 plus with it. One guy even had a supercharger on his.
