You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

America's leadership has been asleep at the wheel for the past 8 years.... the threat has increased and our ability to react/confront the enemy at the door has been severely diminished...

but hey, long as the food stamps/welfare/free phone/free housing/free healthcare continues... we can just ignore the escalating threat to our Country and its citizens...

and now, they want to install likely the biggest criminal on the planet in the White House so she can continue his policies?

Thanks Obama and all of his sorry ass supporters.

Not a day to throw stones, only to remember those lives lost that day and the in the days that followed as we took action against those that committed this atrocity. It saddens me that we forget what truly occurred that day. I was at the memorial about 6 weeks ago, and the people there seemed to show no sense of reverence for where they stood. My son was with me, and as we approached the pools I made sure he removed his hat and took a minute to look around and imagine what it was like 15 years ago there. God speed to those lost souls and to the men and women stationed around the globe on our behalf. I remember that day as if it were yesterday, and I shall never forget.

I remember that morning like it was just the other day.

On this small camp in the middle of Niger we honored 9/11 today. The American flag and the POW/MIA flag were carried for 24hrs and Airmen took shifts running/walking/with kit on or not around the perimeter. They played Taps at the significant event times for when the planes hit, towers, fell etc. Matter of fact, they just played the last round of Taps a few minutes ago. Allergies

For a 15 year memorial, I remember standing on Camp Phoenix in Kabul watching my flag being lowered on 11Sept2006. It was raised at the time the second plane hit the towers. Still have it above my fireplace.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I was traveling from Arkansas to Albuquerque today so I took going thru Ok.City as an opportunity to finally see the memorial for the Murrah Federal Building. Not 9/11 related exactly but I was glad to see there was an event going on there to honor 9/11 and the 1995 bombing. Rather somber to see all the chairs honoring the many who died that day. I visited the site of the Twin Towers exactly 1 year after the attack to the day (while the cleanup was still going on)...it was hard to look at without getting emotional. My mother and sister were abroad in Hungary visiting a friend when they were told they needed to go to the US Embassy to learn what was happening...they were stuck over there for quite some time because of the FAA flight suspension. They were terrified. That was a long day.
