Same here, I hope the new one is bad ass and drops the prices on the 13-14, because right now my budget is only enough for a 5.4L GT500.

To bring back the 427 KR it would have to had existed in the first place.

From Ford racing. They install everything and still has factory warranty.

If I remember right the only dealer around here that does it is in Frisco. At least that's what 5 star ford told me a few years ago. You can still purchase it through any dealer, it just gets transferred over there for install.

Surely Ford wouldn't equip the Shelby Mustang with a TT V8 while the GT supercar gets a TT V6?

I'm sure there are weight and packing issues that they aren't dealing with on the mustang platform.

If they are out to beat the Hellcats with say 750hp, they are going to have to use a bigger displacement engine than the 3.5L ecoboost. They aren't going to use higher tune 3.5L in the Shelby over the GT. Also I think going with the TT 5.0 DI motor is going to lead to DI being introduced across the V8 range.

There's still the stigma that comes with a V6 supercar vs a V8 underling.

These cars are being built for completely different purposes.

I think they'd experience more lift than backlash in that scenario. Goons with money will buy the GT500 cuz it gotz more power/cubes than the Ford GT and the waiting list for the Ford GT will still be more than 10 times what Ford produces. Win/win.

Maybe that's where they told me. The name doesn't sound familiar, though.
