  • Anyone making a trip from Corpus/Rockport back to the DFW area?

Looking to see if I can find someone making a trip from the Corpus/Rockport area back to the DFW area that is willing to haul a dirt bike back. Of course I am willing to pay for the haul. Found a bike while visiting the area and trying to get it back home or even part way so I don't have to drive all the way back down here.

Any other shipping suggestions other than this or USHIP?

Forward air has Motorcycle containers. This would probably fit in the smaller size. Looking at $150-$200ish from dock to dock. Their agent in CRP is below. You would need to call them to see if they have any containers on hand.

Just called and that company does not deal with the public? They said I would need to contact an agent and have them arrange?

Hmm. Maybe the rules have changed. I thought anyone could ship on forward air, it's been a 5 or so years. My bad.

No problem. A lot probably depends on who you catch on the phone and what kind of mood they are in. I probably caught him walking out for the day or something.

Most freight companies and forwarders only deal with "known shippers". That's how it was when I worked in freight.

I work for a forwarder. Used to work at forward air about 5 years ago and any one could tender freight with a CC.
