        Sending boys into brothels.

I agree though, nothing hardcore about that.

IDK.. 11 year old boys with jobs working until after midnight, often in the red-light district, on bicycles sounds pretty hard core. That's like domino's hiring an 11 year old to deliver pizza's in Oak Cliff at night.

More like comparing an 11 year then to an 18 year old now. Hell, our great grandparents were hard SOBs back then.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

IMO, people had more respect for kids back then and probably didn't f' with them like they would now.

Even still.. lol. I wouldn't want my 20 year old or 18 year old sons doing so in Oak Cliff, or Stop 6, etc..

Hell, an 11 year old back then is probably more like a 25 year old now.

Shit, my grandpa joined the Navy in 1907, at the ripe old age of 12. He sailed with the Great White Fleet before he turned 14.

Not quite the same, but I worked for papa johns as a driver in Lancaster when I was 18. Talk about no tips. I had my car broken into at a fake call at some shitty motel. Had people threaten to beat my ass because drivers don't carry change and they wanted there $0.15.
