  • Weekend toy

So i have been looking since the first of the year pretty hard and i am ridiculously picky so i have not found the right car. Now i have 2 in front of me and having a hard time deciding. Or maybe neither of them. Let me know what you think.

Option 1 1993 mustang gt 5spd red/black 27,500 miles stock with stereo, mufflers, and shifter. Engine bay is cleaner than when it left the assembly line. $16,500 and not local.

Option 2 2002 camaro ss anniversary edition auto ttop 4,000 mile showroom condition and local for $21,500.

The rational side of me says camaro but the sentimental side says fox. I have talked myself in to and out of both cars for different reasons a couple times in the last few days. I am not dfw baller status so this is a large purchase for me and i want to get it right. Just looking for other views and opinions.

Both sound too nice to have fun with.

Well the fun for me is cleaning, looking at, and just cruising 1k-3k miles a year. My hot rodding and racing days are over.

What do you feel you would have more fun with? If leaving stock for stock?

Whatever you do get insure the fuck out of it. Its usually the nice ones that get fucked up out cruising by some bonehead running into them.

For sure. My wife is our ins agent. She already qouted the gt with stated value. $18k for $250/yr. No numbers on the ss yet.

I think i would enjoy the hell out of the gt just because i love black interior foxes but the ss is a bad ass car and i have always wanted one. The gt will stay mostly stock but i will probably do some suspension and gears so i will be in it for a little more than purchase price.

Well then my opinion is no good. I can't leave stuff alone. Cars are personal expression for me. I can't be a caretaker for a museum piece.

Not my kinda clean. Well maybe a few with higher miles and modded. Not my cup of tea. Looking for a stock or close to car that has been pampered.

I used to be that way and beat the shit out of a few cars. Just want to enjoy them today vs working on them.

I would take the camaro all day if you're leaving them stock.

I'd take the SS. Foxes are made to be modded and tortured.

Having said that, we have different views as to what a weekend toys are. Mine is a 1970 Mach 1 with no a/c, no power steering and manual brakes. Lol. My girl would prefer a Kia as long as it had ac.

I say just buy whichever calls to you the most but dont concede on finding a great price just to get into something soon. Buy it right so you can change into something else at your discretion. Being tied down to one car is boring...
