It's pretty cool to see the BMX craze that's happening lately. Funny story...one of my long time friends (since grade school) still had his old bike in the shed next to his parents house all these years, a Cook Bros that he has had since we were in about 6th-7th grade. Last year he got it out and back into riding shape for one of his sons, who is now about that age. His boy was over at a friend's house and the friend's Dad (apparently big into vintage BMX) took notice....called Dave and told him what that thing is worth now. He's done some research on it since, and was telling me that this old thing is worth like $5K now! He said that when he took it down to a bike shop, the dude begged him to just sell the seat post, and offered $500 for the post alone (its a slant post).
Needless to say its not for sale, and he's more proud that his son appreciates it even more...said that he's no longer leaving it lay in the yard at night anymore.70' Chevelle RagTop

Ive been riding my cruiser pretty heavy lately. About 20 miles a week. Been wanting to pick up a decent mountain bike to ride but just finding overpriced non negotiable people on craigs wanting too much for their junk.. If any of ya'll see a decent $200 Mountain bike in a medium size, send me a note please..

So I bought my boy this for Christmas (he's 12).. it's a "Sunday blueprint".. I have to say for a mid level bike, it sure has a lot of bells and whistles we didn't get factory from our mid skool bikes..
3 piece cranks
Center pull brakes
And seems really light too but I haven't weighed it yes because I'm hiding it until Sunday.. we got him a Yamaha piano for Christmas and gave it to him early because the lady that gives him lessons said he really needed a piano with weighted keys asap.. he had mentioned he wanted a bike for his birthday in February but I got too good of a deal to pass up.. so on Sunday one of his presents will be some "wethepeople pegs" for the bike were going to build.. then I'll send him to grab something out of the truck and it will be there in the back yard..lol
Thanks to this thread I'm already considering buying a project bike to build when I'm bored.. thanks a lot assholes! Lol"PSH!!!"

Have you seen the new pump track in Frisco and the place in Grand Prairie ? Some crazy cool stuff.

Heres the Frisco track
This group is for the new pump track/ trails in Frisco located at the corner of teel and gloryview, up the hill from the mtn bike trail. We will be posting when we are riding, digging, or hanging...
I was planning on it this week, BUT I broke a couple of ribs last saturday. I can't freakin breathe without pain, much less hit any of those jumps..

I've been to the Frisco pump track once so far as it's only like 4 miles from my house but the problem is that it's just far enough not to want to ride there and back and the bike doesn't fit in the mustang without taking it apart... I need a rack.
The track is pretty cool, but it will certainly remind you how old we have all gotten in a hurry!Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.

So who makes a good 24" BMX cruiser now? I was going to buy a SE Floval Flyer but I really don't like the chrome that is being offered now. I was looking for a retro color. The only brands I am seeing now are brands that were not around when I used to be into bikes? I see We The People, Sunday.... what happened to GT, Haro, Skyway, and those good brands. Redline is now box store bikes so what is good these days? Looking for 24" BMX cruiser to get some exercise.
