DALLAS -- A group from Houston reportedly made threats against the Dallas Police Department, prompting a lockdown of police headquarters, sources told our sister station WFAA-TV.
The group allegedly threatened they were armed and were driving to Dallas to cause harm, sources told WFAA.
A SWAT team was deployed to Dallas Police headquarters, which was placed on lockdown shortly after 4 p.m. Armored SWAT vehicles are can be seen around the perimeter of DPD headquarters.
The threat comes two days after an armed man ambushed Dallas Police, killing five officers and wounded seven others.
