Also the V8 SHO's were not fully built by Yamaha, Ford had their hand in the cookie jar as well, that's why they blew up unless you had the cam sprockets welded.

Iirc, they came with 220 hp (even less to the FW). No way to get to near 500hp (you said 470 fwhp) with a blower and all the supporting mods. I don't call bullshit unless I know and I was around back then and the most I ever saw we as around 350 fwhp.

You have never done this sort of work for a living; I have. I was guessing at 470 to the wheels because I know EXACTLY what it made on an engine dyno at Mr Johnson's shop. Chassis dynos were not very common back then and I did not mind paying for dyno time for tuning.

The 3.4 SHO engine was a V8; the rest were V6s. Do a parts search on rockauto and see for yourself if you do not believe me.

You are clueless about making power. It doesn't matter how many cylinders an engine has. Assuming you do not grenade the bottom end the only limit to the power you can get out of any engine is the temperature of the exhaust valve, the engines knock threshold and the available octane of the fuel.

This is one thing SVO is not BS'ing on, the V6 SHO was overbuilt from the factory and did well with boost (when forged pistons were added). There is a local guy that had a T-Trim on his 3.2 swapped car. Everything ported, intercooled and a 200 shot, I believe it did around 600 to the wheels. But the transmission was faster to 60 than the car.
