Does anyone know anything about these ugly cars? I have never heard of a Zimmer, but the engine looks exactly like a V6 out of a Pontiac Fiero. It is mid engine drive, and the car resembles a stretched out Fiero. Just curious if anyone has the story on these cars.

Seems like most of the info is right there in the link:

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a retro looking 1986 Zimmer Quick Silver. Established in 1978, Zimmer Motorcars Corporation opened as a manufacturer of customized neo-classic automobiles. With only a handful of models, the Zimmer company would hand build these modern hot rods direct from their factory. This particular model was known as the Quick Silver. Based off of the Pontiac Fiero platform, this 1986 Zimmer Quick Silver for sale was known for being fun, light, and agile. With a mid-engine set-up, the weight distribution allowed for a car with top notch driving characteristics. This Zimmer Quick Silver for sale is powered by a peppy 2.8L 6-cylinder engine. With a deep burble, this sports car hums along the road with ease. The engine is backed by a sporty shifting automatic transmission. Built to be the restomod of yesteryear, this vehicle has the sharp look of a Great Gatsby era, combined with the modern amenities of a newer car. Who wouldn't love a hot rod with factory air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes? Only built from 1984 to 1988, the Quick Silvers are one of the rarest Zimmers of all! The exterior exudes classy, with large and tucked chrome front and rear bumpers. The chrome accents the red exterior and is also set-off by the custom wheels and tires. It's hard NOT to get looks while driving this "era car." The interior is low and lean, familiar of any sports car. The leather bucket seats grab the driver and passenger nicely, allowing for a driving experience that is simply a blast. The rest of the interior looking factory, this Zimmer for sale has a look that's almost timeless. Options on this 1986 Zimmer Quicksilver for sale, include: A/C, AM/FM radio, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, seat belts, leather interior, and radial tires. If you're looking for a rare collector's car, a fun driver, or simply a weekend cruiser, this 86 Zimmer for sale can fit the bill! For more information please call the Nashville showroom at 615-213-1800 or e-mail us at Nashville@GatewayClassicCars.com.
