use between 1k-1500kwh get 100 bill credit. Use 1500-2k and get 50 bill credit.

1c or 2c kwh respectively. Use over 2k or under 1k and get fucked.
Wow, I don't get that. They beat the crap outta you for using less energy.
    Closest plan I found:

I'm currently on the Reliant Energy Conservation plan, pay 1.3 cents on top of the energy charge for the first 1000kwh, then bumps up to 8.2 cents for kwh above 1000kwh:

    My billing history:
    $45.71 06/10/2016
    $42.00 05/12/2016
    $44.09 04/13/2016
    $47.83 03/14/2016
    $56.88 02/12/2016
    $53.26 01/13/2016
    $45.80 12/10/2015
    $45.89 11/11/2015
    $75.01 10/12/2015
    $85.24 09/11/2015
Most of my usage is under 1,000kwh.

Just swtiched to this for the next 10 months:

I was looking at switching but would be for a business account, my VFW Post. I think we used 5840kwh last month. Guess that wouldn't work.

We have Reliant now and are on average billing and spend about $825-875 a month. I think our rate is around 8c kWh on average.

startex is currently at 4.9c for 2k+ customers. Summer is the worst time to choose a providor since everyone is bumping up rates. I switched in late april and was forced into a 1yr contract usually I just bounce around every 3 months.

picked up gexa for 1.12c/kwh earlier this month. If i go over 2000 kwh i'll be paying like 9.9 c/kwh but don't remember the last time I used that much. powertochoose.org is your friend

Same here. They really gouge the shit out of us in Fall and Spring. They don't seem to care about all of the tree limbs shunting power to ground, either.

I'm seriously contemplating solar panels on the roof.

800 month on juice for the house? must be a decent sized home.
