If you're really trying to save some money, buy one that's already modded and change a few things to your taste.
I just want to save money on the starting point of the car. I dont want to try and salvage someone elses build. I will check around though, that might not be a bad idea.

I'll check that one out.
This one is for sale, but you'll need to adjust your budget a bit.
05 350z, 31k miles, Stillen supercharged, NISMO exhaust, 6spd, who knows what else. From what I can gather, it only puts down a bit over 300 wheel hp, but the torque curve makes it very fun. Belongs to a friend of mine, he let me drive it today.

You just gotta have an eye for the turds. A lot of those rebuilds are complete hack jobs slapped back together. Others are almost new cars that merely have a bad carfax at this point.

I always knew being half breed with the inability to speak Spanish would fail me at some point.
Needs to be the sports package because it comes with an LSD rear end and some other gimmicks ( syncroshift ).
Is that shit going to work after a motor swap?
The syncroshift is hilarious if you have the habit of wobbling the gear shift when your coming to a light to ensure it's in neutral. The engine sings you a nice song trying to guess which gear your're going into.

Use google translate and communicate through text message. I sold a Toyota highlander to a Korean couple who spoke no English but would text me even when they met me in person.
