  • Austin, Texas process server killed by dogs

A pack of dogs killed a 36-year-old woman at a home in northeastern Travis County, the sheriff’s office said in a news release Thursday.

On Wednesday, someone who went to the property to feed the dogs at the home found the body of Erin McCleskey, a process server who went to the home on Fay Street near Parmer Lane earlier in the day to serve civil papers, her employer and authorities said.

McCleskey had gone through the property’s front gate, according to the sheriff’s office.

Why would you enter a property with multiple dogs that you don't know?

Sex with an Asian woman is great, but 30 minutes later you're horny again.

Some occupations require you to "professionally trespass". Although you are correct, there is always a choice. Some folks are just unprepared.

I've done it everyday for 15 years but it is my job. I have been well trained for it too. I disconnect utilities for non payment and we never let anything stand in the way at my level. I specifically handle difficult locations, dogs gates customers etc. However i do agree that unless you are very confident in your training and abilities to handle those situations you have no business doing it.

Also it is not trespassing or professionally tresspassing. We have every right to be on the property.

Most dogs are pussies when it comes down to it. I have only had one dog i would not enter the yard with in 15 years. Animal control would not enter either. Crazy ass german shepherd. In the case of a very aggressive dog or a pack of aggressive dogs we use our 6 foot ladder sections to create space between us and them. The dog is only concerned with the closest part of you to them. That is the end of the ladder. They can bight that all they want. Also i just like dogs and they don't scare me. Confidence and years of training from very good dog trainers goes a long way towards reading the dog and know how to handle them. I have had one dog bite. There have been situations were we have to spray the dog or defend ourselves with the ladder but that usually takes care of the problem quickly and we don't have any more problems with the dog while we are in there. If it is really bad i will call my neighbor to assist me.

Yes, as a utility person you do have a right to be on the property when performing your duties. But I don't see an exception for her.

I opened my front door to leave for work this morning and there was this big ass white pit just standing at my door looking at me. Scared the shit out of me but he was friendly. The neighbor came running over to grab him, she was about as big as he was. She kept trying to pull him away but he wasn't budging until he was done sniffing.
