  • Hot Rod Power Tour

Anyone going down to the start in Gonzales? We're rolling out in the morning. Gotta pick up our credentials by 6pm and it's roughly a 7.5 hour drive with stops for gas and food.

I know there was a thread before about this but my phone doesn't let the search function work

The Power Tour starts today in Gonzales.
Tomorrow is when it goes from Gonzales to Baytown.
Unless your tomorrow is Saturday, in which case carry on

I saw a handful of hot rods heading east on I20(around Sweetwater/Colorado City) yesterday. I'm assuming they were heading to the power tour since the noses were all covered up with painters tape.

I won't be able to make a stop this year since I'm going on a road trip starting next Friday.

I didn't say tomorrow, I said in the morning. Being that I posted before I went to bed last night, that would mean that we left the house this morning to head to Gonzales. So my tomorrow will be Sunday when we head out from there to Baytown with the rest of the tour

My apologies, but you would be surprised how many people over the years have made the mistake I was talking about.

I attended this year, I did gonzales, baytown, austin, and finished up in Grand Prairie.

It was a blast! HotRod even published an article with my car doing a burnout!

I didn't make this one but did get to spend a couple hours in GP when they stopped. Had the Roadkill guys sign my hat to go with their signatures in my wagon.

Steering and a/c issues prevented Gonzales, but managed to do the TX portion as well. Had a great time, get the truck sorted and finished up and will be planning on long hauling next year

Made the Hotrod website while rolling to GP
